Root of Shanghai cultural tourism brand debuts at CITM 2025

The China International Travel Mart (CITM) 2025 launched on Dec 19-21 at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, with a focus on China's inbound tourism development. Over 100 countries and regions participated, showcasing their tourism offerings.

At the event, the Songjiang district booth from Shanghai showcased the city's roots with attractions such as Cangcheng Langyuan Bridge and Shanghai Film Park, highlighting the district's unique blend of history and modern leisure.

Songjiang's display featured a panoramic map highlighting the district's natural landscapes, religious sites, and cultural landmarks. This presentation attracted significant attention from both industry professionals and tourists.

To enhance engagement, the district set up a fun social media activity. Visitors who posted content on Douyin or Xiaohongshu with the relevant hashtag received gifts, generating buzz and expanding the district's social media presence.

The booth also caught the attention of international visitors, who shared their experiences online and recommended Songjiang to global audiences, helping to promote the district's cultural brand.

Songjiang's cultural and tourism bureau plans to develop its tourism resources further and introduce new, high-quality experiences, inviting travelers worldwide to explore Shanghai's cultural roots and discover its unique blend of history and nature.
