Shanghai flower show leaves green footprint on city
The 2026 Shanghai International Flower Show has come to a close, but its charm will linger. The city has decided to keep some of the show's popular attractions as permanent features in public spaces, providing cosmetic upgrades and ongoing educational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
Several gardens from the show will become part of traveling exhibitions, spreading horticultural beauty and ecological ideas. Some installations will be transformed into community and pocket parks, bringing greenery into everyday urban life. Additionally, all perennial flowers will be reused to sustainably enhance Shanghai's green spaces.
