In Qingpu district, flowers are more than scenery — they define a vibrant year-round industry and an elegant way of life.

Home to Shanghai's largest flower trading market and an important flower auction hub in Asia, the district hosts year-round floral events that capture the distinctive charm of Jiangnan, the region south of the lower Yangtze River.

Spring

Spring begins with romantic cherry blossoms at Hongqiao Flower Valley, home to one of Shanghai's largest cherry blossom cultivation sites. Peach and pear blossoms at Dianfeng village and Hamajiang Orchard also draw visitors for leisurely spring outings and photography.

Golden rapeseed flowers bloom across Zhujiajiao and Liantang, painting a vivid contrast against the white-walled homes of the water towns.

Autumn

Autumn ushers in osmanthus, chrysanthemums, and golden ginkgo trees. Qushui Garden hosts seasonal flower displays, while the ancient ginkgo trees at local temples turn brilliant shades of gold.

At Yuandang Lake, expansive fields of pink muhly grass create one of Qingpu's most celebrated autumn landscapes.
