Spider-Man interactive pop-up opens in Xuhui
An immersive Spider-Man pop-up experience has launched at the West Bund in Shanghai's Xuhui district, centered on the growth story of Tom Holland's Spider-Man across his 10-year cinematic journey.
Breaking from traditional exhibitions, it integrates puzzle-solving challenges across six themed zones, letting visitors step into the world of the "friendly neighborhood" superhero.
The comic shop zone, co-presented by Chinese collectible card brand Hitcard and lifestyle label CENESE, showcases classic Spider-Man comic covers from different eras, a life-size comic book photo prop, and more than 200 original issues, with a professional store manager occasionally sharing stories.
The pizza shop, created in collaboration with the US streetwear brand UNDEFEATED, evokes New York street culture and offers exclusive apparel and accessories. The New York streetscape area uses the venue's cylindrical structure to showcase skyline silhouettes and interactive installations where guests can recreate web-swinging scenes.
Peter Parker's room replicates his living space, including an upside-down photo zone that mimics his hanging perspective. The Spider-Man lab displays classic suit replicas, sewing tools, and workstations, along with a fitness training section that showcases Parker's gear-making and physical training.
A pop-up store modeled after a New York corner grocery offers more than 200 licensed products, including action figures, surprise boxes, building blocks, plush toys, and themed electronics.
A stamp-collecting challenge invites visitors to solve puzzles at five stations and collect all the stamps to receive exclusive gifts. Each themed zone also features dedicated photo areas for memorable snapshots.
