During the launch ceremony of the "Touring Ningxia • Colorful Silk Road" cultural activities on Aug 10, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Ningxia Hui autonomous region unveiled six tourist routes with the title "Explore Ningxia Through Ancient Texts". 

These routes connect Ningxia's natural landscapes and cultural heritage through records found in ancient texts, including attractions such as the rock paintings in the Helan Mountains, the Beacon Tower in Longquan village, and the ancient city of Huamachi (Shuofang Academy). By following these routes, visitors can experience the beauty of blending the ancient with the modern. 

The six routes are: "Mountains and Rivers as Witnesses: Poetic Yinchuan"; "Historical Landscapes: Ancient Charm of Shizuishan City"; "Great Wall Fortresses: The Pearl of Wuzhong City"; "Soul of the Desert: Vast Zhongwei City"; "Zhou, Qin, and Han Legacy: Ancient Path of Guyuan City"; and "Peaceful Mountains and Rivers: Ancient Charm of Ningxia".

First route: Mountains and Rivers as Witnesses: Poetic Yinchuan
