The Zhejiang delegation to the second session of the 13th National People's Congress arrived in Beijing on March 2. Issues regarding private economy and people's livelihoods will be the major concerns of Zhejiang deputies.

Zhejiang is China's private business hub and the private sector contributes to around 50 percent of the province's tax revenue, 60 percent of its GDP and 70 percent of its foreign trade.

Qiu Guanghe, chairman of Zhejiang Semir Garments Co Ltd said that this year his motions will be focused on the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, real economy and private companies.

Zhang Tianren, a deputy from Zhejiang and also vice president of Zhejiang Federation of Industry and Commerce, noted that during his survey he discovered that the shortage of high-caliber professionals has been a major impediment to companies' transformation and upgrading. He will pay attention to the issue of how private companies introduce talents at the session.

Zheng Yali from Zhejiang Financial College said she will give some suggestions on vocational education this year with the aim of helping create a better environment for the healthy development of China's vocational education.

The financial reform, the guarantees of children's welfare, the disposal of marine litters, and the legislation of foreign investment are all included in the list of Zhejiang deputies' motions.
