The Zhejiang delegation to the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) held a panel discussion on March 5 on the 2019 Government Work Report.

Che Jun, Party secretary of East China's Zhejiang province, presided over the discussion. He said the work report of the State Council reflects the government's confidence and sober mind. With clear goals and tasks established for the next year, it is a timely and strong response to Chinese people's expectations and aspirations, according to Che.

"Over the past year, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, Zhejiang has made unprecedented progress in its social and economic development," remarked the Party chief, adding that by studying the Government Work Report, they have more confidence in the future development of the province.

In the near future, Zhejiang will continue to follow the central government's guidelines and actively explore ways to cement current achievements to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China, Che pledged.

Zhejiang Governor Yuan Jiajun hailed the Government Work Report as being inspiring for its clear goals and effective measures. He said in the last year, a huge step has been made towards an all-around moderately prosperous society despite the difficulties and challenges from home and abroad.

"Zhejiang will constantly work on the high-quality development and strive to make more contributions to the nation's development," said the governor.
