A tourism festival highlighting rapeseed blossoms is set to open in Xianju, a county in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Wednesday.

The Zhejiang Rapeseed Flower Festival celebrates its 12th edition this year. Visitors will be able to enjoy vast stretches of rapeseed blossoms alongside a dazzling array of cultural shows scheduled on every weekend of the festival.

The venues include the rapeseed flower base in Shuangmiao town, Xiage village in Xiage town as well as Hengling village and Shanglv village in Anling town.

The county this year introduced multiple species of rapeseed flowers, which have 11 different colors.

Xianju is noted for its captivating natural scenery and is home to Shenxianju, which received a 5A rating - China's top classification for scenic spots - in 2015.
