86 projects signed to facilitate Yangtze River Delta integration

A total of 86 projects worth 219.2 billion yuan ($31.93 billion) are signed by nine cities in the Yangtze River Delta to facilitate innovation and integration of science and technology in the region. [Photo/people.com.cn]

The 2019 Yangtze River Delta G60 Science and Technology Innovation Valley Joint Conference was held in Wuhu, Anhui province on June 24. Nine cities including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Hefei signed 86 cooperative projects to facilitate Yangtze River Delta integration. The investment volume totaled 219.2 billion yuan ($31.93 billion).

G60 Science and Technology Innovation Valley was jointly founded last June by nine cities including Shanghai Songjiang district, Jiaxing, Huzhou, Hangzhou and Jinhua cities from Zhejiang province, Suzhou city from Jiangsu province, Xuancheng, and Wuhu and Hefei cities from Anhui province. During this year’s joint conference, the nine cities released an outline of the high-quality integrated development of G60 Science and Technology Innovation Valley industrial clusters.

The projects signed during the joint conference focused on various fields, including integration of industries and finance and advanced manufacturing. A number of new scientific innovation projects settled.

Shanghai Beidou Intelligent Vehicle System Co Ltd will cooperate with the Jiujiang district government of Wuhu, Anhui province to construct a Beidou industrial park at the cost of 1.5 billion yuan. The Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will cooperate with Anhui’s Fanchang county government, building an industrial park transforming scientific research achievements into intelligent manufacturing.
