The press conference of the fourth Zhejiang opera Beijing Week activities was held in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on June 25, revealing the five opera types and 11 programs to be performed in Beijing.

The Beijing Week activities will kick off in Beijing Chang'an Theater from July 8 to 24. A total of 11 opera programs performed by the Zhejiang Vocational Academy of Art, Zhejiang Xiaobaihua Yueju Opera Troupe, Zhejiang Wuju Opera Troupe and other four troupes will be staged, consisting of five operas of Kunqu, Yueju, Wuju, Ouju and Xinchang Diaoqiang.

Different from the previous years, this year's performance focuses on showing the scene of picturesque Zhejiang. The original opera program "Shilu Xingyin" (walking and singing on poetry road) will be performed at the closing ceremony. The program was jointly created by the Zhejiang Vocational Academy of Art and the Zhejiang Xiaobaihua Yueju Opera Troupe and aims to show the integration results of operas and poetries in Zhejiang.

"Themed on Zhejiang's opera and poetry, we hope to show Zhejiang's new industry development of integrating culture and tourism through the program," said Zhi Tao, chief director of "Shilu Xingyin" and vice president of Zhejiang Vocational Academy of Art.
