The civil affairs department in Zhejiang province unveiled plans for a big data-based smart platform for elderly care on July 25.

An official said the integrated platform would provide complete services for the aged including all-round information on senior care resources. All services will be accessible on mobile phones.

He said the "At Most One Visit" administrative reform has been extending both in depth and breadth in the province and the digitalization of senior care is a necessity.

The new platform will be designed to involve government departments, professional organizations, the elderly and their families and the market -- encouraging every party to jointly help improve services for the aged, according to the official.

Officials said that once completed, the integrated platform will establish links with regional contact centers for senior citizens and showcase the policies of all the cities and counties, realizing full coverage for the province.
