China Postal Airlines launched the first cargo air route from Yiwu, Zhejiang province, to Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Japan on Aug 20.

The cargo flight service, which will be run five times a week, is expected to improve the transportation capabilities of the international airport in Yiwu and help further open up the city's import and export industry.

According to the strategic cooperation agreement reached between Yiwu and China Post in May, China Post will use its global network and resources to support the development of a cross-border e-commerce zone in Yiwu.

The two sides will work to open more cargo routes connecting Yiwu with other international logistics hubs.
