The 2019 China (Quzhou)-Africa International Fair for Trade and Investment is set to take place in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on Sept 5-6, according to local media reports.

Businesspeople from 18 African countries, including Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Zambia, have been invited to attend the event.

Organizers said they are mainly involved in the machine manufacturing, home appliances and the e-commerce sector.

In recent years, Quzhou has had close exchanges and growing business links with African countries and regions. The fair is an important move for the city to strengthen its economic and trade exchanges with these countries and regions, officials said.

An official from the Quzhou Council for Trade Promotion said that the fair will help Quzhou's companies to develop new business, expand new markets and promote more Quzhou-made products to other countries.

To date, about 200 directors of Quzhou companies have signed up for the fair.
