The Yangtze River Delta Private Economic Cooperation Conference was held in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, on Nov 10.

It was a supplementary activity of the fifth World Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Convention, which will be held in the city from Nov 13 to 14. 

Entrepreneurs, academic scholars, and members of several think tanks in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region attended the conference to discuss how the private sector can promote the integrated development of the region.

The meeting also aimed to encourage more Zhejiang entrepreneurs to get involved in the YRD integration by promoting communication between the Zhejiang chambers of commerce in Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Anhui.

"To realize development, we private companies should believe in our country's policies and the power of our traditional culture, and we should also believe that sound competition will surely bring prosperity," said Nan Cunhui, president of Chint, a world-renowned smart energy solution provider based in Zhejiang.

"Private companies need to innovate themselves and cooperate with each other to achieve industrial transformation and upgrading," said Zhou Haijiang, CEO of Hongdou Group, a famous apparel products manufacturer based in Wuxi, Jiangsu province. 

In addition, an initiative was proposed by the guests present at the meeting, advocating private entrepreneurs to take the lead in exploring high-quality economic development in the Yangtze River Delta region.
