Summit gathers outstanding Jinhua natives to discuss city development

The second Jinhua Development Summit opened in Jinhua, Zhejiang province on Nov 16, gathering more than 1,000 outstanding Jinhua natives from around the world to discuss the future development of the city.

Attendees specialized in science, education, and a number of other industries.

Che Jun, Party chief of Zhejiang province, sent messages to the meeting to commend Jinhua natives living in and beyond the city who have made remarkable contributions to the development of the city and Zhejiang province as a whole. He expressed hope that they will continue to support their hometown in the future. 

Yuan Jiajun, governor of the province, also sent messages to urge all government departments in the city to focus on developing major projects, platforms, policies and reforms in order to push the city forward.

Ho Iat Seng, the fifth-term chief executive-designate of the Macao Special Administrative Region and native of Jinhua, sent a letter of congratulations to the meeting, expressing pride in the progress his hometown has made over the years and pledged his continued support.

"I believe Jinhua will ultimately realize its goal of becoming a global hub of small commodities, an international city of film and culture, a center of innovation and smart manufacturing, and a land of beauty and happiness," said Ho in his letter.
