The provincial government of Zhejiang held a meeting in Hangzhou on Dec 26 to set the plan for next year's economic development. The government announced that they will see to it that a high-level moderately prosperous society in all respects is built next year.

Che Jun, Party chief of Zhejiang, detailed the achievements that the province has made in maintaining economic growth momentum over the past year, as well as urged that all government departments should work together to ensure that the economy operates within a proper range to realize the abovementioned goal.

Specifically, Che said that the government should maintain a stable economy, promote reform and opening-up, give companies more support, enhance its business climate, boost manufacturing, attract more skilled workers, as well as enhance its role in the integration of the Yangtze River Delta region.

Yuan Jiajun, governor of the province, added that the government should strengthen the private sector, attract more investment and projects, boost domestic demand, improve its environment, accelerate rural revitalization, as well as drive the development of its digital economy.
