Five teams of more than 800 medical workers in Zhejiang province rushed to Wuhan to help fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia on Feb 9.

This is the first time the province has sent medical teams with ICU equipment to the city. It took just 10 hours to organize the teams.

"Since receiving the notice at around 9 pm on Feb 8, medical workers throughout our city have been signing up, and our team was fully ready at around 2 am on Feb 9," said an official from Hangzhou's health commission.

These medical workers include professionals such as Wang Heqiu, chief physician of the psychiatry department at Tongde Hospital of Zhejiang Province, who has 27 years of clinical work experience, Yang Li, chief physician of the department of respiratory and critical care at Shulan (Hangzhou) Hospital, and Wang Hui, associate chief physician of internal hematology at Zhoushan Hospital.

Many have shown extraordinary commitment to their duties, including Wang Yanping, a nurse from the First People's Hospital of Jiande, who has not seen her family for 16 days, and Fu Shuijuan, a nurse from the Hangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital who has a five-year-old daughter to care for.
