The first group of medics returning from Hubei to Zhejiang province arrived in Hangzhou on March 19.

Provincial government leaders such as Che Jun, Party chief of the province, and Yuan Jiajun, governor of the province, received the medics at the Xiaoshan International Airport, along with their families, and gave them flowers.

The medics were dispatched to Hubei to aid local hospitals in the fight against COVID-19 in mid-February.

Song Baishan, leader of the medical team, gave a briefing on the work they have done in Wuhan.

Che commended them as brave warriors who have saved the lives of many.

Che also said that he believes the experience will benefit their lives and careers, especially the young medics. He urged them to rest up and return to work with restored energy.
