Zheng Shanjie, governor of Zhejiang province, met with Laurent Bili, French ambassador to China, in the provincial capital of Hangzhou on Dec 8.

To realize mutual benefits and consolidate friendly relations, the two sides agreed to implement the important consensuses reached by the two heads of state as well as to promote bilateral cooperation in trade, aviation, medicine, tourism, education, humanities, and other key areas, with a more open and positive attitude.

Benoit Guidee, French consul-general in Shanghai, also attended the meeting.
