Ozcan Sezer, a Turkish entrepreneur, is the proprietor of three Turkish restaurants currently thriving in Yiwu, Zhejiang province.

Formerly a soccer player, Sezer arrived in Yiwu in 2009, a moment he vividly recalls as "seeing the future in Yiwu."

His impression stemmed from the convergence of multiple factors: the prolific presence of Turkish entrepreneurs engaging in trade, a hospitable business environment, and the robust international commercial ambiance.

In 2017, Sezer introduced MADO, a venerable Turkish national ice cream brand established in 1850, and established two "MADO" restaurants in Yiwu.

Reflecting on his decade-plus entrepreneurial journey in Yiwu, Sezer remarked, "I have witnessed the remarkable evolution of this city and experienced transformative changes in my life. I have grown fond of this city."

Sezer aspires to acquaint more Chinese patrons with the MADO brand. He envisions leveraging the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train to import more raw materials.

Sezer's strategic vision includes establishing MADO Ice Cream's Chinese production headquarters in Yiwu and 1,000 branches nationwide.
