The 19th Hangzhou Asian Games will start with an exciting beach volleyball match in Ningbo, one of the co-host cities for the continental sports event.

On Sept 19, the competition will kick off at the Banbianshan Beach Volleyball Center in the coastal county of Xiangshan in Ningbo. Located at 30 degrees north latitude, Xiangshan is home to one of the most breathtaking coastlines in the region.

A total of 48 teams from 17 countries and regions have registered to compete in the beach volleyball event, which will take place from Sept 19 to 28 and will offer two gold medals.

The Banbianshan Bay Beach Volleyball Center has organized a packed schedule consisting of approximately 100 matches spread over nine days. During the group stage, spectators can expect 19 matches per day. The winners of the women's and men's categories will be determined on Sept 27 and 28, respectively.

To ensure optimal playing conditions, the beach volleyball center has designated a specific competition area measuring 16 by 8 meter, which will be carefully fenced off within the sandy terrain.

Beach volleyball offers an exhilarating experience, making it popular among fans. Spectators will have the opportunity to not only enjoy the matches but also soak in the incredible combination of sunshine, sea, and sand. Adding to the excitement, a cheering squad will also perform.
