Ningbo hosted a grand ceremony on April 19 to kick off a tapestry of recruitment activities in honor of the city's annual Talent Day.

In 2019, the city officially designated the first day of Grain Rain, a solar term in the traditional Chinese lunar calendar, as Talent Day, which falls on April 19 this year. The decision was made with the intention of attracting talented individuals from across the globe to either work or establish businesses in Ningbo.

This year's ceremony witnessed the launch of several platforms specifically tailored to foster the growth of engineers, along with the unveiling of the city's inaugural comprehensive talent service center and hotline.

Ningbo, in recent years, has demonstrated exceptional prowess in expanding its talent pool. The city has experienced the highest influx of national-level talents in Zhejiang province. It has also achieved record-breaking numbers in the addition of national young and middle-aged experts, provincial top talents, and publications in the esteemed academic journal Science. An additional 266,000 college students and 51,000 highly skilled professionals have been enticed to the city, further cementing its status as a burgeoning hub for talent and expertise.
