Suichang county in Lishui, Zhejiang province welcomed a delegation of the American Youth Exchange and Learning Camp on June 18.

The group, hailing from Temple University in the United States, a world-renowned university with a history of 128 years, got immersed in the culture of Suichang.

Their itinerary included visits to the Suichang Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, Tang Xianzu Memorial, and Yucai Primary School, where they explored Chinese intangible cultural heritage items, traditional culture, and education.

One particularly memorable stop was the Memorial Hall of Suichang People's Rescue of American Pilots in 1942, commemorating the alliance between China and US on the anti-fascist battlefield. Huang Zhichun, son of a rescuer, shared his father's heroic tale with the visitors.

Gage Julian, a student from Temple University, expressed delight at the wonderful performances provided by the students at Yucai Primary School and the friendly basketball match with them.

Marena Ariffin, the delegation leader, highlighted the significance of the cultural exchange, noting that the experiences will all be shared with others at Temple University.
