July 6 is the 5th anniversary of Liangzhu Ancient City's UNESCO World Heritage designation and the 5th annual Hangzhou Liangzhu Day.

On this day, the "Liangzhu Ancient City · Toledo Ancient City" dialogue event took place at the Liangzhu Ancient City Ruins Park, facilitating a cultural exchange between Chinese and Spanish civilizations.

Liangzhu Ancient City, a testament to China's 5,000-year-old civilization, represents the remarkable contributions of the Yangtze River basin to the origins of Chinese civilization. Its sophisticated water management system highlights early Chinese engineering prowess and stands as a masterpiece in world urban development history.

Toledo, one of Spain's ancient capitals with over 2,200 years of history, is renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture and rich cultural heritage, earning it the title "City of Light of Spain."

Despite being separated by over 10,000 kilometers and 3,000 years, both Liangzhu and Toledo exemplify the integration of diverse cultural influences and meticulous urban planning, reflecting the historical wisdom of both nations.

Experts from China and Spain engaged in a roundtable discussion on topics such as heritage preservation and innovation and the relationship between heritage conservation and urban development, delving into the rich cultural heritage and unique charm of the two ancient cities.

Additionally, the Discovering the World Heritage of Spain - An In-depth Look at Toledo photo exhibition opened at the Liangzhu Museum's sakura courtyard. The exhibition features nearly 100 photographs showcasing Toledo's rich history and culture, offering visitors a visual journey through time and across significant landmarks.
