An event combining shopping, entertainment, and cross-border business opportunities recently kicked off on Nantang Old Street in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, featuring an extensive selection of Vietnamese products.
Fifteen leading Vietnamese enterprises showcased their finest offerings, including bird's nests, premium coffee, exotic spices, and tropical fruit products. Visitors indulged in a unique shopping experience while enjoying dynamic performances by Vietnam's National Dance Troupe.
"I've been to Vietnam, but these durian pastries are even more refined than the ones I brought back myself," said a resident surnamed Huang, "The deals are fantastic today, and with the New Year coming up, it's a great time to stock up!"
For companies, the event offered an ideal platform to boost brand visibility.
Trung Nguyen Coffee drew a crowd with its voice-controlled coffee machine, which allowed customers to order freshly brewed coffee with a simple command.
"Our G7 coffee is among the world's most popular instant coffee brands, with an 89-percent consumer approval rate. Seeing the excitement for our innovative products here is truly rewarding," said a manager of the company.
Meanwhile, online sales were equally impressive. According to Ye Chengming, general manager of Xinglianda Supply Chain Management, the event's livestream generated over 3 million yuan ($411,025) in sales within just five hours, with durian pastries and coffee leading the pack.
