The final of the 2024 Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreigners across the Globe-Dubbing Show was held in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, on Dec 23.

Thirty contestants from over 20 countries, including Vietnam, Bangladesh, Russia, Japan, and Mexico, showcased their Chinese proficiency by dubbing excerpts from classic Chinese TV dramas in the final round.

The passionate performances and fluent dubbing of the contestants earned rounds of applause from the audience, creating a lively atmosphere.

Quzhou, known as the Home of Southern Confucianism, boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage. During the event, the organizers arranged for the contestants to visit the Family Temple of Confucius and other famous cultural landmarks in the city.

According to the head of the Quzhou Southern Confucianism Cultural Development Center, the aim was to promote and spread traditional Chinese culture.

Since the competition began in July, it has attracted 940 contestants from 67 countries and regions, receiving a total of 1,044 entries.
