Shaoxing releases highlights of 2024 government work report
The Shaoxing municipal government recently published its work report for 2024, detailing significant achievements and setting ambitious goals for 2025.
The city's GDP grew by 6.5 percent.
Urban per capita disposable income rose by 4 percent, while rural income increased by 5.5 percent.
Total exports reached 376.22 billion yuan ($51.66 billion), accounting for 1.48 percent of the national figure.
The introduction of 35 flagship brands, including Sam's Club, contributed to a 6.7 percent increase in retail sales, the second-highest growth in Zhejiang.
The city added 98,000 urban jobs and placed 151,000 university graduates in employment. Over 1,000 doctoral researchers were recruited.
Shaoxing aims to maintain a 6.5 percent GDP growth rate and achieve a 6.5 percent rise in retail sales. The city intends to keep income growth aligned with economic expansion, limit consumer price inflation to around 2 percent, and control urban unemployment below 5 percent.
