Ningbo port exported 492,900 vehicles in the first three quarters of 2026, up 72.71 percent year-on-year, with total value reaching 48.87 billion yuan ($7.35 billion), a 66.03 percent increase.
New energy vehicles (NEVs) accounted for 352,600 units, or 71.54 percent of total exports, making them the dominant force in the port's automotive trade.
The European Union, Brazil, and the United Kingdom were the top three export destinations by value, receiving vehicles worth 8.87 billion yuan, 8.62 billion yuan and 4.30 billion yuan, respectively.
The UK market saw particularly rapid growth, with export value surging about 18-fold year-on-year. NEV exports to Jordan also rose 176.85 percent to 4.16 billion yuan.
These strong performances reflect China's expanding NEV production capacity, improving product competitiveness, and growing overseas demand. Meanwhile, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port's extensive international shipping network provides reliable logistics support, helping local automakers reach markets worldwide.
