Australian pilot Myles Bernard Weston, captain of Xiamen Airlines' Flight B737, has 26 years of flying experience and joined Xiamen Airlines in 2018.

Myles has been recognized for his 905 hours of safe flights with Xiamen Airlines.

He had planned to take a vacation this February, but the sudden outbreak of the novel coronavirus epidemic caused him to change his plans. Myles decided to stay in Xiamen and coordinate with his company to help fight against the epidemic.

In the face of the unexpected outbreak, all foreign pilots working at Xiamen Airlines have decided to stick to their posts and do their part in the fight against the virus.

Upon learning he may be sent to Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak in China, Myles accepted without hesitation.
