"After intensive work every day, workers often just want to sleep," said Li Dalong, 40, captain of the engineering ship, adding it has become a habit for workers to go to bed and get up early every day.

The engineering ship — 116 meters long, 58 meters wide with a depth of 6.6 meters — is also the main living space for workers. There are different types of rooms equipped with television sets and refrigerators for the more than 70 crew onboard.
