The 14th Cross-Strait (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair (CCCIF) opened at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center in Fujian province on Aug 4 and will run until Aug 7.

The four-day event is expected to showcase various cultural and creative products, as well as promote cultural exchange and cooperation between artists from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

This year's CCCIF boasts the largest exhibition area to date, spanning an impressive 100,000 square meters. Hosting 3,400 booths, including 883 from exhibitors in Taiwan, the fair is set to present an unparalleled display of cultural treasures.

Admission to the fair is free of charge.

The 14th CCCIF has a clear focus on three core themes: "cultural power," "innovative power," and "youth power." It consists of five main pavilions, which highlighted digital cultural tourism, creative designs, oriental fashion, comics and animation, and cultural and creative products from 11 countries and regions.

A notable addition is the digital cultural tourism pavilion, covering an extensive area of 5,000 sq m. It focuses on how scientific and technological innovation empowers the development of the cultural tourism industry and showcases the application of new technologies such as big data, 5G, and cloud computing in the cultural tourism industry.

Furthermore, the CCCIF encompasses various sub-events, offering a diverse and comprehensive experience to all participants. These sub-events include a Taiwan shopping festival, a Taiwan youth new design exhibition, and a bazaar showcasing specialties from Fujian province.

Beyond its cultural significance, the CCCIF also serves as a significant platform for cross-Strait cultural communication, cooperation, investment, and trade. The fair provides an opportunity for participants to explore cutting-edge digital technologies and witness the industry's latest advancements. Moreover, the event features a matchmaking platform for people in the cultural tourism industry, building upon the success of the previous year's event where meaningful cooperation agreements were signed.

In addition to fostering cultural exchange, the CCCIF also aims to facilitate connections between governments and companies. Meetings will be held to attract investment, interpret industrial policies, and introduce Xiamen's business environment, thus creating opportunities for business growth and promoting economic development.

According to organizers, the 14th CCCIF has the potential to drive cultural exchange, stimulate technological innovation, and fuel economic growth within the cultural and creative industries. With its vast exhibition area, exciting pavilions, and engaging sub-events, this year's fair promises to be an unforgettable celebration of culture and creativity.
