The 10th Silk Road International Film Festival Awards Gala was held in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, on Sept 27.

This year's Golden Silk Road Awards selected 140 films from among nearly 500 recommended by 84 countries and regions for re-evaluation. Ten Golden Silk Road Awards were ultimately selected.

The granting of the Golden Silk Road Awards demonstrates the cultural confidence of Chinese films. Filmmakers from home and abroad will work hand in hand to create a scene of mutual learning among civilizations.

During the five days from Sept 23 to 27, nine main activities, including the Golden Silk Road Awards, a Belt and Road Initiative country-focused exhibition, and a film forum, were held.

More than 200 screenings were held in 22 cinemas in Fuzhou and other cities in Fujian province, attracting more than 20,000 people to the cinema. About 300,000 people participated in the Movie Carnival and related activities.

At the special node of the 10th Silk Road International Film Festival, Fuzhou held a rich variety of activities, systematically summarizing the Silk Road International Film Festival's 10 years of using film as a link to promote the construction and development of BRI culture.

The film festival gathers advantageous resources in the industry at home and abroad and strives to become a professional platform for film transactions, cultural exchanges, and industrial projects as a way to cultivate a more promising market for the development of the film and television industry.
