The first World Energy Storage Conference kicked off on Nov 9 in Ningde, Fujian province. With the slogan Global Vision, Innovative Energy Storage, the conference aims to create a world-class energy storage exchange and cooperation platform and promote the high-quality development of the energy storage industry.

The event is an important platform to promote cooperation in the energy storage industry. At the meeting, Ningde signed agreements for 63 projects, with a planned total investment of 119.12 billion yuan($16.34 billion).

At the meeting, Ningde was awarded the title of "China's new energy battery capital" by the China Machinery Industry Federation.

Capitalizing on this recognition, Ningde will seize the opportunity to pursue the high-quality development of the new energy battery industry, lead the technological innovation of new energy batteries and build a world-class core area for new energy and new material and a world-class advantageous industrial cluster. Additionally, the Ningde Declaration on the Construction of Zero-Carbon Island was unveiled during the conference. This declaration underscores Ningde's commitment to peaking carbon emissions and improving carbon storage, as well as promoting green and sustainable development on the island. Through the construction of a marine ecological civilization, Ningde is determined to establish a zero-carbon island.
