On June 17, the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies (ACCWS) released the China City International Image Assessment Report in Jiangxi province.

The report, which assessed 337 Chinese cities in five key aspects — international media influence, overseas new media reach, global public attention, overseas city website construction, and international network connectivity — introduced the City International Image Index (CII) to provide a comprehensive evaluation of each city's international image.

Two cities in Fujian province made the list.

Xiamen was recognized as having a prominent international image, alongside 13 other cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing.

Additionally, Quanzhou and nine other cities were identified as cities with emerging international images.
