The third session of the 13th Fujian Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) commenced on the morning of Jan 12 in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province.

Over the past year, the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPPCC has made a number of practical suggestions related to Fujian's economic and social development, comprehensively deepening reforms, cross-Strait integrated development, and more.

Throughout this period, the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPPCC conducted thorough research and consultations on crucial matters such as building a modern industrial system, leading technological innovation, and ecological preservation in the Minjiang and Jiulong River basins.

Special consultations have been carried out to enhance mechanisms for promoting technological innovation among private enterprises, driving the growth of state-owned enterprises, and advancing innovation in digital trade. Discussions also focused on maritime culture, the cultural tourism economy, and the development of a province known for its strength in social sciences, providing valuable insights for comprehensive reforms.

Throughout the year, the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPPCC members carried out 38 major consultation activities, organized over 350 symposiums, submitted more than 80 reports, and gathered over 1,700 suggestions. Many of these suggestions have been translated into effective measures for Party and government decision-making.

With a focus on addressing the needs of the people, the Fujian Provincial Committee of the CPPCC served as a direct conduit of information, submitting 2,636 social condition and public opinion items, including 890 related to livelihood issues, to the National Committee of the CPPCC, with 460 being adopted.
