Fujian prepares for a joyful Spring Festival celebration

As the Year of the Snake approaches, Fujian is working to ensure a joyful and peaceful Chinese New Year. The province has implemented various measures to enhance safety during Spring Festival.
Efforts are underway to make the proper arrangements for Spring Festival travel rush. Fujian has developed transport organization plans to facilitate smooth travel and provide guidance for staggered journeys, with a focus on assisting vulnerable groups such as the elderly, sick, disabled, and pregnant women.
Steadfast measures are also in place to stabilize supply and prices. The province is ensuring a consistent supply of essential goods like grains, oils, meats, eggs, and fruits. Ongoing monitoring of weather and transportation conditions is being conducted to manage supply, demand, inventory, and pricing.
Additionally, Fujian is enhancing energy security by strengthening partnerships with the East China Power Grid and China Southern Power Grid to ensure reliable electricity supply.
During the Spring Festival, the province will host a vibrant cultural and tourism program, featuring over 1,100 community-oriented activities. These events will bring high-quality cultural experiences to local communities through public performances and activities like the Spring Festival village gala" and street performances.
Across Fujian, more than 500 New Year's consumer events are taking place, offering vouchers and subsidies totaling over 100 million yuan ($13.8 million). These local promotional activities aim to enrich the festive season for residents and visitors alike.
