Guiyang airport enhances core port capabilities

The National Immigration Administration announced an extension of the stay period for foreign travelers eligible for visa-free transit to 240 hours (10 days) on Dec 17. As one of the newly designated airports for this policy, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province is focusing on enhancing its port capabilities and service offerings.

Focused efforts to improve port support

Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is capitalizing on policies such as Guizhou's accelerated integration into the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the visa-free transit program. The airport focuses on three main areas: resources, passenger sources and services, all while building a more connected domestic and international flight network.

As of Dec 18, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport has launched 13 international passenger routes, including Bangkok, Singapore, Hanoi, Vientiane, Milan, and Osaka. The airport also opened four international cargo routes, marking a significant milestone in establishing intercontinental air freight links. The airport completed the port function area of Terminal 3 on schedule and passed the core public health capability assessment with high marks.

Dedicated to enriching port services

Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport established an overseas guest service center in the international arrivals area. The center provides tourism information, telecommunication services, transportation transfer guidance, currency exchange, and more, with facilities such as ATMs offering a one-stop service to international passengers.

The airport is also making significant progress in upgrading the international arrivals visa hall, adding visa processing counters, form-filling desks, tea-bar machines, and seats, further optimizing the service environment.
