The 2025 Zhongba Miao Flower Dance Festival in Gui'an New Area took place in Huchao township, Gui'an New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Feb 9, attracting numerous tourists to experience the event.
Miao people from across the province dressed in embroidered festive costumes and danced on stage to cheerful music, showcasing the unique cultural charm of the Miao ethnic group.
The enthusiasm on stage spread to the audience, where people of all ethnic groups and ages waved their hands to the rhythm, celebrating the joyous occasion together with the Miao people.

"The Flower Dance Festival is one of the most important festivals for the Miao people. Everyone sings and dances together to celebrate reunion, which is something we all look forward to," said Yang Zhengmei, a performer in the program Huange Zhongguomeng (joyful song of the Chinese dream).
Yang added that the dance performance not only expressed the love for life and beautiful aspirations for the future held by the Miao people, but also symbolized the unity and joint efforts of all ethnic groups toward common prosperity and development.
In addition to artistic performances, the festival featured a food sale area where a variety of Miao specialty foods filled the air with enticing aromas. Tourists gathered around the stalls, eager to taste Miao delicacies such as sour soup with potatoes, glutinous rice cakes, and farmhouse smoked pork.
The 2025 Zhongba Miao Flower Dance Festival ran from Feb 9 to 11, with performances including dance, singing, and instrumental music, providing a comprehensive and multi-faceted showcase of the rich history and unique charm of Miao culture.
