North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region and South China's Guangdong province joined forces into an agreement on Feb 9 to boost high-quality tourism development.

Under the agreement, around 1 million tourist visits are expected to be made between the two destinations throughout the year.

At the launching ceremony of this joint venture, which was held in Guangdong's capital city Guangzhou, the Inner Mongolia Culture and Tourism Group pitched investment promotion projects, while Hohhot, Hulunbuir, Chifeng and Ordos cities promoted their products along with the Xiliin Gol League in the jurisdiction of Inner Mongolia. At the same time, Arxan Resort and Meilin Valley Resort promoted their immersive experience packaged tours.

The Inner Mongolia Department of Culture and Tourism also announced the year-round rewards for domestic tourists entering Inner Mongolia via charter flights, which will further stimulate long-distance source markets such as the Pearl River Delta, as well as increase the popularity of tours to Inner Mongolia.

The department will soon hold a themed investment promotion campaign focusing on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in Shenzhen city.

It is understood that both the similarities and differences in cultural and tourism resources between Guangdong and Inner Mongolia have built a bridge for cooperation.

Inner Mongolia has a rich ethnic culture and experiences all four seasons, which dramatically changes its landscape throughout the year.

Tourists from the Pearl River Delta will never be disappointed when they leave their cities and go on vacation in Inner Mongolia, where they can experience the magnificent beauty of lush forests, vast grasslands and deserts, great lakes, and ice and snow.
