Inner Mongolia's gross domestic product for the first half of 2023 has increased by 7.3 percent to 1,097.1 billion yuan ($156.50 billion).

The primary industry saw an increase in value to 39 billion yuan, a growth of 7.4 percent. The secondary industry expanded to 553.5 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 7.9 percent. Meanwhile, the tertiary industry also showed growth, reaching 504.6 billion yuan, an increase of 6.7 percent.

During the same period compared to the previous year, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery experienced a 7.4 percent increase. The livestock population, consisting of pigs, cattle, sheep, and poultry, also showed steady growth.

Animal husbandry in Inner Mongolia has yielded positive results, with a 6.3 percent increase in meat production, resulting in 980,000 metric tons being produced this year.

In Inner Mongolia, industries above a certain size experienced a 6.9 percent increase in added value year-over-year during the same period.

In comparison to the first quarter, the services sector experienced a year-on-year growth of 6.7 percent, with a 2.4 percentage point increase in acceleration.

Meanwhile, the information transmission, software, and information technology services sector saw a 10.4 percent increase in added value year-on-year. The wholesale and retail sector, along with the accommodation and catering sector, experienced an 8.1 percent growth, while the financial sector saw a 9.5 percent increase.

Also, the region's fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) increased by 34.5 percent year-on-year.

The total retail sales of consumer goods in the region reached 246.38 billion yuan, a 7.8 percent increase year-on-year. Urban retail sales of consumer goods also grew by 7.8 percent, while rural retail sales increased by 8.1 percent.

Additionally, the per capita disposable income of all residents in the region in the first six months was 18,151 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.7 percent.
