Ten Mongolian children who have recovered from congenital heart disease arrived at the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Hospital for their follow-up examinations, organized by the region's local Red Cross Society.

The doctors there relieved the kids' concern by informing them that their various indicators were normal, and that they had made remarkable progress in terms of their recovery.

These 10 children had previously participated in the "Angel Journey - One Belt One Road" humanitarian assistance program for critically ill children in Mongolia.

In order to express their gratitude, the kids created handicrafts as gifts to the Red Cross Society of Inner Mongolia.

So far, a total of 125 surgeries have been conducted in Beijing, Hohhot, and other locations through the humanitarian assistance program, with 43 Mongolian children with congenital heart disease receiving treatment in Inner Mongolia.

Yang Fengyi, Party Secretary of the Red Cross Society of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, said that moving forward, they will continue to strengthen cooperation with the Red Cross Society of Mongolia.

The plan is to complete the remaining 75 surgeries in two to three years and invite 10 rehabilitated children to Inner Mongolia for follow-up examinations each year, delivering the promise of a healthy future to more Mongolian children with congenital heart disease.
