Huishan Mountain National Forest Park kicked off a two-day camping and food festival on Aug 25 to bring some pleasant vibes to the summer season.
The festival blended camping with hiking, food, music, and parent-child games, helping local residents to get fully involved in the activity.
The festival's most popular zone was for local food tasting where vendors set up stalls selling beer, ice jelly, small wontons, fermented glutinous rice, and other snacks. Professional bands also performed folk songs, solo clarinet numbers, and string quartet compositions for festival-goers.
The festival was organized by the Wuxi municipal bureau of culture, broadcasting and tourism and the Wuxi Culture and Tourism Development Group.
