A Spring Festival-themed consumption promotion event was launched at Meili Ancient Town in Wuxi New District (WND) on Jan 1. The event featured a wide range of products, including home appliances, attires, digital goods, and festive items, all offered at significant discounts by local enterprises such as Little Swan.
During the event, WND partnered with Wuxi Municipal Supply and Marketing Cooperative to bring high-quality goods into communities and signed cooperation agreements with e-commerce firms to promote local premium products nationwide and worldwide through live-streaming.
Following the event, WND is expected to launch a winter-spring consumption promotion campaign from New Year's Day to Chinese New Year. The campaign is poised to highlight four district-level consumption promotion events, over 50 promotional discounts and offers by commercial entities, and four cultural tourism activities.
In recent years, WND has prioritized its business environment and stimulated consumption. With key business districts like Bailian Outlets Plaza and Columbus Square, it has introduced over 40 boutique first-stores and more than 60 commercial projects and hosted over 300 promotional events.
Furthermore, WND is striving to integrate culture and commerce through various initiatives. These include creating cultural-commercial complexes for activities such as reading, art performances, exhibitions, and sports; curating cultural tourism routes by connecting local cultural sites, commercial plazas, and agricultural resources; and developing popular intellectual property (IP) merchandise and creative derivatives across animation, games, videos, and music.
