Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province has leveraged new media and technologies to construct its visual image over the past year.
Here are some of its efforts.
In 2024, the city launched its digital figure named "Huan Xi" for its government information release platforms, adding new highlights and vitality to its image promotion.
The launch of the "Cultural Context • Wuxi" micro-documentary series vividly recorded Wuxi's historical context and urban stories.
The "Out in Wuxi" music-themed cultural tourism exploration program features guests from all walks of life in a reality show format to connect Wuxi's past, present, and future, unlocking new experiences in Wuxi's music life and tourism.

The special exhibition "The Grand Canal Meets the Rhine River" held in Germany focused on the musical foundation of Wuxi, the hometown of erhu in China, and the contributions of numerous erhu masters born there.
In 2024, Wuxi focused on the development and design of cultural and creative products, actively promoting the integration of cultural creativity with industry. It introduced a series of Wuxi-themed cultural and creative products, which have been favored by residents and tourists and have become new carriers for promoting Wuxi's city image.
Centered around the Spring Festival Gala of the Year of the Snake, through emojis, posters, animations, new media content creation, and cultural and creative product design, Wuxi, one of the sub-venues of the Spring Festival Gala this year, has further promoted its city image, enhancing the sense of belonging and pride of Wuxi residents and injecting new vitality into its cultural industry.
