Several enterprises in Tongzhou district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, have experienced robust development after embracing sustainable production measures, according to local media.

Among these companies is Jiangsu Hengke Advanced Materials Co Ltd, which has been relying on machines that boast low energy consumption and low emission levels.

The company also utilizes green technologies in its production process and research and development. In the second half of 2022, the company started mass production of cation cellulose and regenerated fiber using low-carbon technologies.  

According to Yu Xialiang, the vice-general manager of Jiangsu Hengke, green production technologies have improved the company's dye absorption rate by 25 percent, raised the utilization rate of dyestuff and reduced emissions.

Due to its focus green manufacturing, the company was recently designated a national low-carbon enterprise in the textile industry.

Nantong Haixing Electronics Co Ltd is another enterprise in Tongzhou that has gone big on green development.

Zhou Xiaobing, the chairman of the company, said that Haixing Electronics had in 2018 set up an office to enhance its green production capabilities.

Over the past three years, the company has spent over 50 million yuan ($7.21 million) on upgrading its clean technologies, Zhou added.

Haixing Electronics made the list of national green factories and the list of provincial leading enterprises for green development last year.
