Counties and districts in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, have offered their assistance to earthquake-hit areas in Northwest China's Gansu province.

The province's Jishishan county in Haidong city was hit by a 6.2-magnitude earthquake at 11:59 pm on Dec 18 (Beijing Time).

Jiangsu Dongxuan Rescue Equipment Manufacturing Co in Hai'an county collected 20 12-square-meter tents, 200 military coats, and 100 quilts with cotton wadding, according to the general manager Xu Boping, who sent the supplies to Gansu himself with other rescuers.

Multiple enterprises in Chuanjiang town, Tongzhou district have donated supplies worth 250,000 yuan ($35,000) to aid quake-hit areas.

Among the donors was Nantong Jihui Auto Supplies Co, which donated more than 2,000 winter quilts and will keep a close eye on the areas and offer their best support, said the manager Ye Dinghui.

The Zhi'an Emergency Rescue Team in Rugao brought relief supplies valued at over 100,000 yuan, including outdoor jackets, heated blankets, and gloves, to support disaster-hit areas on Dec 21.

On the same day, a truck loaded with 4,000 thermal quilts departed the Qidong Wujiang High-end Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park for Jishishan county.
