Local media reported recently that the Nantong Low-altitude Economy Industry Alliance was officially established on Dec 30, 2024.

The alliance has been established by China Mobile Communications Group Jiangsu Co Nantong Branch, in partnership with Nantong Open University, alongside enterprises engaged in low-altitude economy-related enterprises, higher education institutions, and research organizations. It aims to create a platform that facilitates cooperation, resource sharing, and collaborative innovation, promoting the healthy and rapid development of Nantong's low-altitude economy industry.

As a representative of new quality productive forces, the low-altitude economy is a new economic and social development engine. Nantong focuses on technological breakthroughs, industrial agglomeration, and scenario expansion, laying a solid foundation and accumulating first-mover advantages for the development and growth of the low-altitude economy.

Nantong Open University and the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Research Institute of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly carry out talent training, skills training, and achievement transformation projects.

Establishing the Nantong Low-altitude Economy Industry Alliance is another innovative move in the city to promote the low-altitude economy. The alliance is expected to conduct various academic, technical, and industrial exchange activities, build a collaborative innovation platform for industry-academia-research-application, formulate low-altitude economy industry standards, and more.
