The CIMC Safety Technology Co Ltd, located in Chongchuan district, Nantong, has been recognized as a national green factory for 2024.

As the world's largest supplier of tank containers, CIMC Safety Technology has integrated eco-friendly, energy-saving, and low-carbon principles into every aspect of its business, from product design and supply chain management to manufacturing.

Company representative Lin Aibin shared, "Since 2022, we have invested nearly 100 million yuan ($13.73 million) to upgrade our production lines in line with our mission for green development. For example, we replaced traditional paint spraying with powder coating, which reduces volatile organic compounds emissions to near zero and minimizes the generation of hazardous waste."

Lin added, "We began optimizing product design from the initial stages, using environmentally friendly materials. We select suppliers who prioritize sustainability. During production, we focus on controlling energy consumption and reducing emissions. In logistics, we've replaced fuel-powered vehicles with energy-efficient ones to lower carbon emissions."

In 2024, Chongchuan added one national green factory and four provincial green factories, while the Chongchuan Economic Development Zone was awarded the title of provincial green zone.
