Nanolink's new automotive window film earns TüV Rheinland certification
Nanolink Advanced Materials (Nantong) Co Ltd has received a blue light attenuation certification from TüV Rheinland, an internationally recognized independent testing, inspection, and certification German-based organization, for its recently developed EG75 automotive window film.
This certification demonstrates that Nanolink's window film meets international safety standards for blue light protection, giving it a competitive edge in the global market. The product debuted at the recent China International Automotive Aftermarket Industry and Tuning Trade Fair, where it received positive feedback.
"TüV Rheinland is known for its rigorous certification process. Our product underwent over eight months of testing, covering both laboratory and real-world scenarios," said Tang Xuan, board secretary of Shanghai Nanolink Technology Co Ltd.
According to Tang, tests included simulations of high-intensity blue light exposure from oncoming LED headlights at night. The findings revealed that the company's window film blocks 84.71 percent of harmful blue light across the entire visible spectrum (380–780 nm) and achieves a peak energy attenuation rate of 96.81 percent in the harmful blue light range.
These results indicate that Nanolink's window film not only provides broad-spectrum blue light protection but also effectively blocks high-energy shortwave blue light, which poses the greatest risk to eye health. Tang emphasized that the product ensures clear driving visibility while minimizing potential eye damage.
Nanolink Advanced Materials (Nantong) Co Ltd was established in 2021 as a production base for Shanghai Nanolink Technology Co Ltd, a national-level "little giant" enterprise specializing in advanced materials.
With years of expertise in the field, Shanghai Nanolink develops and manufactures a range of innovative materials, including aliphatic TPU paint protection films and PET functional films, which are widely used in industries such as automotive, new energy, optoelectronics, engineering plastics, and consumer electronics. The Nantong facility focuses on producing PET functional optical film nanomaterials, supported by strong research and manufacturing capabilities.
