Chongchuan firm drives innovation in intelligent chassis systems
Bebest Automotive Electronics (Jiangsu) Co Ltd, located in Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, has experienced rapid growth in recent years.
The company specializes in producing integrated line control brake systems, known as BIBC (One-Box), which are now being supplied to well-known domestic car manufacturers such as Wuling and Geely.
Established in 2021, Bebest has research and development centers in Shanghai and Beijing, and in 2022, it set up a production base in the Shibei High-Tech Zone in Chongchuan. In less than a year, Bebest developed and mass-produced a series of products, including BIBC (One-Box), an electronic body stability control system, and an electro-hydraulic line control brake system. The annual production capacity of their full-stack intelligent braking products has reached 2 million sets.
As a rising star in the automotive industry, Bebest focuses on intelligent chassis braking, steering, and suspension systems, achieving significant progress in the intelligent chassis sector. In recent years, the company has been recognized as a national high-tech enterprise and hailed as a hidden unicorn of China’s auto industry.
The company's innovation capabilities stem from its strong R&D team. It has over 130 people on its R&D team, nearly 30 percent of them hold postgraduate degrees, and core team members come from top universities such as Tsinghua University, Wuhan University of Technology, Tongji University, and leading automotive manufacturers and component suppliers like Bosch and BYD, bringing with them an abundance of industry experience.
Furthermore, the company invests nearly 100 million yuan in R&D annually and has obtained over 30 patented authorizations.
With the advancement of automotive intelligence, Bebest will continue to focus on intelligent chassis systems. "By the end of this year, we will complete the mass production of intelligent suspension products, and intelligent steering products have also been developed and are ready for mass production. They are expected to officially start production next year," said Liu Xingbo, the plant manager of Bebest's Nantong manufacturing center.
